Programs & Events What's New Community Missions Political Action Workshops
Each year, the JCRC hosts a Political Action Workshop (PAW) at which pressing public policy issues are discussed and debated by elected officials, legislators, issue experts, and members of the community. PAWs organized and facilitated in years past include the following topics: candidate forums (most often during election years), vouchers and charter schools, hate groups, stem cell research and cloning. These workshops are often co-sponsored by the Indianapolis chapters of the National Council of Jewish Women (NCJW) and Hadassah.
The JCRC Community Missions program seeks to bridge advocacy efforts with the direct services that correspond to the issues for which the JCRC lobbies. By doing so, the JCRC hopes to gain a greater understanding of the issues, the provision of services, and the community in which we live.
